Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf of Nigma Galaxy is renowned for engaging opponents with all-chats, tipping, and voice lines. In recent years, he has toned down such behavior in official games. Still, the level of emotional expression in ranking games remains strong.
Sébastien “Ceb” Debs, who has worked closely with ATF during his time at OG, stated on Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski’s recent Twitch live stream. “ATF is a player who does not tip and all-chat out of irritation, as many believe. Ceb said that ATF is primarily amused and has no malice toward the other player.”
Ceb claims that ATF laughs when he engages in nonstop chatter and tips his opponents.
During the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2023 match between Team Secret and Nigma Galaxy. ATF concentrated on Remco “Crystallis” Arets’ Bloodseeker, sometimes even sacrificing his own life to score kills.
This ATF play occurred when Nigma was in the lead and well-positioned to win. At the same time, Secret was at risk of being demoted to Division II. Gorgc asked, while co-streaming with Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat and Ceb, why ATF was causing mental damage to a player on the edge of demotion.
However, Ceb soon interjected, claiming that ATF was joking. It is usual for players to become enraged when they participate in such conduct, but this was rarely the case with ATF.
“However, he takes the tipping, the all-chat, the smileys, and the other things extremely lightly. I am aware that it is commonly referred to as flaming or violence. Still, he intends to avoid harm the majority of the time. Understand what I mean? He is not angry when he acts in this manner. He is giggling as he writes all-chat and smileys and such nonsense. Typically, people who write are really angry. People assume he is trolling, but he’s laughing at it 99.9% of the time. And he is, of course, occasionally upset.”
“That’s excellent. In reaction to Ceb, Gorgc remarked, “Not many people can take it like that.”
By defeating Secret, Nigma assured it would not be relegated to Division II. The team has begun to compete significantly better than it did at the beginning of the season and will face Entity in its final series on January 30, 2023. Nigma cannot qualify for the Lima Major 2023, however.
