What is Crypto.com?

Crypto.com is one of the largest crypto platforms, offering an app for buying and selling hundreds of coins, an exchange, a self-custody DeFi wallet and prepaid and credit cards. CRO is the native token of its Cronos chain and is used for card rewards and staking perks.

What Level Up includes

At launch, Crypto.com advertised benefits across the tiers that included up to 5% APY on cash, up to 6% back in CRO with its Visa Signature credit card, up to 5% back on its prepaid card, boosted CRO staking rates, no foreign transaction fees on the prepaid card, and zero-commission stock trading where available. "Up to" figures apply to the top tier and often have caps, so read the tier table carefully.

Does it pay for itself? A quick check

Take your monthly card spending, multiply by your tier's cashback rate, and compare it with the monthly fee:

• Spend 400 USD a month at 2% back: 8 USD of CRO rewards versus a 4.99 USD fee.
• Spend 150 USD a month at 2%: 3 USD of rewards, less than the fee.

Then discount for CRO volatility. Rewards worth 8 USD today could be worth much less by the time you sell them.
